Training in all flying disciplines is provided by Club Registered Instructors on a voluntary basis as part of the BMFA Power Achievement Scheme to enable members to attain their first qualification, the BMFA ‘A’ Certificate.
Unqualified pilots aren’t allowed to fly unsupervised until they have achieved at least this standard.
We adopt a buddy lead system with raw beginners. A lead connects two transmitters with the instructor having the master and the pupil the other transmitter. Control of the aircraft can be given to the pupil and taken back whenever the instructor wishes.
